Privacy policy
Who’s responsible
Andrea Valadez, doing business as Rabbit Translate, 4633 W 19th Ln, Yuma, AZ 85364, USA, decides how your personal information is used. Contact: payments@rabbittranslate.com.
What we collect
- When you write to us (contact or quote form): name, email, optional phone, and what you tell us about your document.
- When you order: the items, quantity, language pairs, price, your email, and the terms you agreed to, with a timestamp.
- After you pay: the project brief and the files you send us.
- From Stripe: payment status, billing details, email and a session ID. Not your card number; we never receive it.
- Technical data: server logs and a hashed form of your IP address, used for security and to limit abuse of forms.
Why we use it
To answer you, prepare quotes, take payment, do the translation, send receipts and deliveries, keep tax and accounting records, and keep the site safe. We don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t sell it or share it for advertising.
Who else sees it
- Stripe, to process payments.
- Our hosting and email providers.
- Translators and reviewers who work on your files, under confidentiality obligations.
- Authorities, if the law requires.
How long we keep it
Project files: 90 days after delivery, or sooner if you ask. Order and payment records: 7 years, for tax and accounting. Messages through the forms: 24 months.
Cookies and local storage
We don’t run analytics or advertising trackers, and there is no cookie banner because there’s nothing to consent to. The site stores:
- Your cart in your browser’s local storage (rt_cart_v1), so it survives a page reload. It stays on your device until you clear it or the order completes.
- Short-lived form tokens that help us block automated submissions.
To clear the cart, remove this site’s data in your browser settings. Stripe’s hosted payment page sets its own cookies under Stripe’s privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email payments@rabbittranslate.com. We’ll confirm who you are and reply. Some records we must keep, such as payment records. We don’t sell your information or share it for cross-context advertising. If you’re in the EU or UK, you also have the rights set out in your local law, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. Our processing happens in the United States.
Security
Pages and forms use HTTPS. We don’t publish file links. Email attachments aren’t encrypted by default; if that matters, tell us before sending.
Children
This site isn’t for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We’ll update this page and the date above if our practices change.
